As per report, the byroad users especially the patients said that the condition of the road is in such a dilapidated condition that the autorickshaw drivers refuse to transport them to the Ayush Hospital.
On the other hand, the patients seeking the health services of the hospital rued that they are put in unspeakable discomfort while traveling in autorickshaws and their private vehicles as they get back pain when the rickshaws tilt in movement in the potholes ridden road.
Autorickshaw drivers said that they have to consider the safety of the patients/passengers while driving their vehicles this rundown road; besides they have to compromise with the risk and damage of their vehicles owing to the big potholes which have in fact turned puddles.
“This stretch of byroad is no longer motorable; several parts of the road have turned hazardous owing to innumerable potholes and damages, posing risk to the safety of the patients/passengers and also safe driving”, lamented the owners/drivers of a fleet of autorickshaws operating in the area.
Meanwhile, the patients and the residents of the area said that the concerned authorities should take up the matter and take initiatives to this effect thereby macamadizing/repairing the damaged patches of the road on priority.
