Port Blair, Aug 28: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President Mr. Rangalal Halder has requested the Medical Administration for the appointment of specialist doctors at the district Hospital of Mayabunder, North & Middle Andaman.
In a letter addressed to the Directorate of Health Services, A & N Administration, Mr. Halder said that the patients in the region are facing significant hardships in availing appropriate medical attention due to the shortage of skilled medical professionals.
He stated that the absence of specialist doctors in the district hospital has led to delayed diagnoses, inadequate treatment, and increased suffering which directly affects the health and well-being of the patients.
He added that the poor patients in the Hospital of Mayabunder are in immediate need of the specialized treatment as several patients of these areas are struggling in accessing excessive specialized treatment at the Hospital.
Highlighting the facts, He has further requested the Medical Administration to take necessary immediate steps to expedite the appointment of specialist doctors at the District Hospital of Mayabunder to significantly enhance the level of medical care availability’s to the local population and alleviate the hardships they currently face.
