Port Blair, Aug 07: Subject to approval of A & N Administration, Mahatma Gandhi Govt. College, Mayabunder, proposes to prepare a panel of Resource Persons to utilize their services as Guest Faculty in the following subjects to teach U.G. courses as and when required basis for the academic session 2023-24.
The Resource Person shall be paid honorarium /remuneration Rs. 1500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred only) per lecture subject to maximum of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) or as per the instruction received from the Competent Authority as the case may be. (i) Hindi, (ii) Tamil, (iii) Telugu, (iv) Bengali, (v) English, (vi) Political Science (vii) History,(viii) Economics, (ix) Geography, (x) Cooperative (xi) Commerce, (xii) Public Administration (xiii) Environmental Studies, (xiv) Computer Science/Computer Application, (xv) Library Science, and (xvi) Physical Education (One male and another female).
Essential: Educational and other qualifications
1. Master Degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in concerned/relevant/allied subject from a recognized University/Institute.
2. Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR OR who are OR have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009/2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET: Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. Programme prior to July 11, 2009 shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye- Laws/Regulations of the Institutions awarding the Degree and such Ph.D candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:
(a) Ph.D. Degree of the candidate has been awarded in regular mode; (b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;
(c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted.
(d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out
of which at least one must be in a refereed journal.
(e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conference/seminars/sponsored/funded/supported by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar
agency.
The fulfillment of the conditions (a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Registrar/Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned.
NOTE: 1. NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Master Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC. CSIR or Similar Test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
NOTE: 2. A relaxation of 5% shall be provided at the Bachelor’s and Master’s Level for the candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non-Creamy Layer)/Differently-Abled. (A) Blindness and Low vision; (B) Deaf and Hard of Hearing; (C) Locomotor Disability including Carebral Palsy, Leprosy cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims and Muscular Dystrophy; (D) Autism, Intellectual Disability. Specific Learning Disabilities and Mental Illness; (E) Multiple Disabilities from amongst persons under (A) to (D) including deaf-blindness for the purpose of eligibility. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grde in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based only on the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.
NOTE: 3. The concerned/relevant subject/discipline shall be specified as per requirement at the time of the recruitment.
