Port Blair, Aug 02: In the process of Augmentation of water resources in the city, apart from various projects which are being undertaken such as Creation of Ponds, Bore wells, wells and Check-weirs in a time bound manner, rainwater harvesting at household level is a critical aspect.
In connection, Port Blair Municipal Council is conducting a half day orientation program on 04th August 2023 (10.15 am to 12.30 pm) at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Auditorium of PBMC. The objective of the Orientation Cum Training program is to create awareness and providing training to citizens about the Rainwater Harvesting and different methods. Small steps of rainwater harvesting by individual households in the city will not only help in maintaining regular supply of water during the peak demand season but also will help in recharging the groundwater.
It is requested of citizens of Port Blair City to please join for this orientation programme on Rainwater Harvesting and participate in the orientation program conducted by PBMC.
