Port Blair, June 05: To commemorate the occasion of World Environment Day, 2023 as well as to flag off the observance of the day in Baratang Island Ms. Nandini Palimal, IAS, Commissioner Cum Secretary (PWD/Power/RD/E & F/ANIIDCO & Vig) Andaman and Nicobar Islands during her visit planted a seedling of Baccaurea Sapida (Khatta Phal). Planting of seedling was to Signify and highlight the importance of environmental protection for a healthy and better future, the Commissioner Cum Secretary urgent all present during the occasion to reduce usage of single use plastics in order to beat plastic pollution.
