Port Blair, May 29: The Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Govt. of India is commemorating the “National Panchayati Raj Day” on 24th April, 2023 and in this connection, a National level award function was organized on 17th April, 2023. During the function, the best performing top 09 Gram Panchayats of North & Middle Andaman District were felicitated by the President of India in presence of Minister of Panchayati Raj.
The National Panchayat Award – 2023 had a total 09 themes in which Gram Panchayats from N&MA district received various awards at UT level. The Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Govt. of India has bestowed appreciation letters to all concerned award winning GPs of N&MA District duly signed by the Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Govt. of India, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi.
In this regard, a felicitation programme was organized by the District Administration on 29th May, 2023 in the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioners Office, Mayabunder, N&MA. Mr. Ankit Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, N&MA, Mr. Subrata Basu, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, N&MA, Mr. Vaibhav Rikhari, AC (HQ), Mayabunder, Mrs. Shibani Mazumder, Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti, Mayabunder, Mrs. Sita Majhi, Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti, Rangat & Mr. Dipankar Mistry, Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti, Diglipur have jointly felicitated the award winning Gram Panchayats with appreciation letter as received from Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
