Port Blair, May 12: To celebrate 25 years of 2nd Nuclear tests conducted at Pokhran, a debate competition was conducted at JNRM Port Blair for Army and Naval NCC Cadets. At the commencement of the event, Lt Col Pankaj Modgil, Commanding Officer 1 (AN) INDEP Inf Coy NCC briefed the cadets about Operation Shakti and its significance for India. He also provided valuable insights to the cadets about India’s Nuclear Doctrine and No First Use policy. The cadets actively participated in the competition. Prize distribution ceremony was conducted on culmination of the event. During the event the Lt Cdr Ankit Pant, Commanding Officer 1 (AN) Naval Unit NCC, ANO/Caretaker and PI Staff of Army and Naval NCC Units were present.
