Port Blair, Apr 09: In a shocking incident, the Police Station of Ograbraj has arrested a youth for sharing child pornography videos on a social media platform. The accused, who is around 23 years old and working in a private company in the Chouldary area, was identified by the police.
According to sources, the accused had allegedly shared videos containing child pornography through his Instagram ID. The police were alerted after they received information from the national crime records bureau of investigation, which monitors the sharing of child pornography videos.
After receiving the information, the police immediately took up the investigation and arrested the accused on Friday, 07 April 2023. The Police Station of Ograbraj has registered a case under the Information Technology Act and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
