Port Blair, Apr 09: A team of Hindu Seva Sangh along with members of Living on the Edge – LOTE, visited the Shoal Bay- 19 and carried out the beach cleaning drive. The members of the team were briefed about the fragile ecosystem and its conservation to maintain the serene beauty by Mr. Abhay Kumar, Conveyor of HSS and President- LOTE
The young members of the group were enthralled by motivational talk on preservation of forest and environment from Mr. D. N Madhu, President, RHS, Chouldari and Mr. Vivekanand, Member HSS.
More than 75 members of both the organizations participated in the beach cleaning drive. Ten bags of waste which consisted of empty wine bottles, paper plates and plastics, were collected and handed over to the Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Shoal Bay for its proper disposal.
The excursions concluded with the National Anthem and slogans of Jai Hind.
