Port Blair, Mar 13: A Delegation of Andaman Moplah Service Organization (AMSO) comprising of President, Mr. N Yousuf; General Secretary, Mr. Abdul Siddique, Advisory Member; Mr. O. Abdul Rehman; Mr. Abdul Gafoor, Vice-President; Mr. Mohammed Rafi, Chairman, 100 Years Sub-Committee, Mr. Abdul Rasheed, Executive Member met Mr. Keshab Chandra, Chief Secretary, ANI today i.e. 13.03.2023 and submitted the matter of providing 38% OBC reservation in appointment of teachers on short term contract basis in Education Department. Requested to review the vacancy notice dated 23rd February, 2023, inviting applications to fill 539 posts of GTT and PST on short term contract basis.
CS gave a patient hearing and assured to take up necessary action with concerned department. The delegation also met Ms. Pallabi Sarkar, Secretary cum Director (Social Welfare) and appraised the matter. Assurance of favorable and early action was given to address the legitimate demand of OBC community. The representation was also submitted to the Member of Parliament, Secretary (Education) and Director (Education).
