Port Blair, Dec 24: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC was the chief Guest of Annual Sports Meet 2012-13 of MES School, Azad Nagar, Stewartgunj. During the sports meet Mr. Sharma lauded the efforts of Mr. AP Mohammed, President of the MES School.
Briefing the history, Mr. Mohammed stated that the school started in 1977 in his dwelling house with a group of rural children of 30 numbers only which has now, through his sincere efforts, become a Senior Secondary School with about 1500 student beside three primary schools at various rural destinations where the tiny tots are being prepared for their further higher studies.
Further Mr. Mohammed also praised the efforts of the Principal Mr. T Hamza and the teachers, who have produced 8 doctors from this school apart many others who are now settled in various respected positions of the society and are serving the Nation.
Speaking on the sports event, Mr. Sharma lauded the efforts of the School authorities who are promoting various kinds of sports amongst their students besides value added education. “Sports build our bodies, develop our minds and encourage the spirit of sportsmen courage in us”, said Mr. Sharma.
Mr. T Hamza, the Principal at the outset welcomed the Chief Guest Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma and other dignitaries. He praised for the support and help given to the Muslim Educational Society of Andaman by A & N Administration and Mr. Sharma.
Ex Zila Parishad Adhyaksha Ms Mariam Bibi, Pradhan, Stewartgunj Gram Panchayat Mr. P Abdul Azeez and Block Congress President Mr. Kadaresan, and other dignitaries were also present during the occasion. Mr. AP Mohammed, the President of the School proposed the Vote of thanks.
