Port Blair, March 06: In a tragic incident, a moving truck loaded with an Excavator fell over on the roadside today at 9:00 am in the Hopetown area. The incident left five people severely injured who were seated on the loaded Excavator.
According to reports, the loaded truck was en route from Chunnabatta to PattherGudda when the accident took place. While taking a turn on the main road of Hopetown, the driver lost control of the truck due to the sudden turn, causing it to tilt over on one side. The Excavator being transported on the truck fell over, injuring the five labourers who were seated on it.
Upon receiving information about the incident, a team of police rushed to the spot along with the nearby residents. After a great effort, the injured labourers were immediately shifted to the nearby CHC Bambooflat hospital by the police team.
