Port Blair, Jan 17: Going by the saying that the gift of blood is a gift to someone’s life. The A & N Police Fire Service during the on-going Police Raising week, 2023 organized a “Voluntary Blood donation camp” at Fire Service (HQs) on 17/01/23. 43 volunteers of A & N Police including Police Radio, IRBn and Fire Service participated in the Blood Donation camp with the aim to serve the general public. It is pertinent to mention that 07 donors were from the General Public.
The program was organized in coordination with Dr. ShahinaMustaqim, Medical Officer (I/C), Blood Bank, GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair and officials of A & N AIDS Control Society.
Mr.S.K.Jain, IPS IGP (L & O) inaugurated the blood donation camp in presence of Mrs. Varsha Sharma, SSP (Fire), Mr. Sandeep DySP(Fire) & other Fire Unit Officers. He appreciated the donors as every Blood Donor is a Life Saver.
