Port Blair, Dec 17: “Dweepom Ki Khoj”, the first ever Inter Island, Inter School Quiz competition will be telecast as 17 episode from Dec-18 2012 on all Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 6.30 pm in DD(Port Blair).
As the name indicates, this quiz series is intended to generate more interest among the children about the history, geography, culture, art and development of these islands.
The first round was conducted in all the Government schools under Andaman and Nicobar Administration and the second round was done in all nine educational zones for the state level. 36 schools were selected for the quarter final rounds which were recorded in the Doordarshan Studios. Students from Campbell Bay to Diglipur participated in the Quiz series. There are 12 Quarterfinal, 4 semi final and one final recordings.
Abijith Agarwal is the Quiz master. Dr. Francis Xavier, HOD, Department of English, JNRM and Dr. Senthilkumar DCF, Department of Forest and Environment are the consultants.
