Port Blair, Dec 30: The Circuit Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class-cum- Civil Judge (Junior Division), Diglipur was shifted from Kalara Junction to a new location at R.K Gram, near Vivekananda School. The new Circuit Court was formally inaugurated by Mr. Jimut Biswas, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Mayabunder on 30/12/2022 (Friday) in presence of present Presiding Officer, Mr. Arnab Roy Chowdhury, Judicial Magistrate First Class, Diglipur and Mr. Shymal Bhowmik, Pradhan, R.K Gram Panchayat. This Circuit Court initially started functioning on 06.08.2012 at Kalara Junction. This Circuit Court is functioning once in a week on every Friday except Public Holidays. The shifting process of this Circuit Court was started by Mr. Vikramjit Sen, former Judicial Magistrate First Class,Diglipur under the close guidance of Mr. Subhash Kumar Kar, District & Sessions Judge, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. It is also learnt that the permanent Court will start at R.K Gram in near future.
