Port Blair, Dec 27: The 1st War of Knights Open International FIDE Rating Chess Tournament 2022 begins yesterday the 26th December 2022 at Sonarpur, Kolkata, West Bengal.
Around 240 players across India & abroad are participating in the event in which 2 young budding chess players, (one Boy &one Girl) from Andaman & Nicobar Islands viz ShrihaanKarmarkar , a student of class III , KV-2 Port Blair, and Anuva Majumdar, a student of Carmel Sr. Sec. School Port Blair are taking part in the event.
The tournament will be held for 6 days over 9 rounds under Swiss System in Classical time control from 26th December 2022 to 31st December 2022.
