Port Blair, Dec 21: A delegation of AATO led by Mr. Mohan Vinod, President, Mr. Vivek Singh, Vice President and Mr. Saikat Biswas, Joint Secretary called on Lt. Governor A&N Islands Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) at Raj Niwas today.
The delegation discussed various issues concerning the tourism industry in A&N Islands.
Mr. Vinod submitted a representation to the Lt. Governor requesting formation of a tourism coordination committee involving stakeholders and various departments of A&N Administration. He also requested HLG to ease out registration and renewal procedures of I. V. boats, Parasailing boats and other water sports activities.
Lt. Governor appraised the delegation about various initiatives of NITI Ayog& A&N Administration with regard to development of tourism in these islands. He also assured all possible assistance to tourism stakeholders in smooth operations of tourism related activities in these islands. Mr. M.Vinod expressed sincere gratitude to Lt. Governor for meeting the delegation amidst his busy schedule.
