Port Blair, Dec 21: On 21st of December, the 3rd Gram Sabha was held at Shivapuram Community Hall under the Chairmanship of Pradhan of GP Shivapuram Mr.Venkateswar Rao. Chief Guest of the Gram Sabha was Mr. Vaibhav Rikari, the Assistant Commissioner of Mayabunder and Rangat.
Mr. Vaibhav Rikari was welcomed by female PRI members.
Mr. Venkateswar Rao addressed the Line departments.The Assistant Commissioner in his speech explained why it is necessary to attend Gram Sabha like this.
After his speech the Assistant Commissioner interacted with the residents of Shivapuram where the general public raised various local issues. The Assistant Commissioner assured necessary action.
The Agenda of the Gram Sabha was to finalize the GPDP 2023-2024.Many issues in the local area were put forth to the Assistant Commissioner alongwith the proposal of conducting revenue camps.The Pradhan GPSP thanked the officials of all the line departments and as wellas the villagers, who attended the 3rd Gram Sabha.
