Port Blair, Nov 28: A Joint Table Top Exercise on 29/11/2022 and Mock Exercise on 30/11/2022 & in association with NDRF in Great Nicobar Island. The Table Top Exercise on 29/11/2022 & Joint Mock Exercise on 30/11/2022 will be conducted on 03 types of disasters “Earthquake/Tsunami, Cyclone and Fire”. The first exercise will be conducted on Earthquake/ Tsunami in the morning 07:00 AM at Kamal Basthi, Campbell Bay, the second exercise on “Cyclone” will be conducted on 10:00 AM at Vijay Nagar, Campbell Bay and the third exercise on “Fire” will be conducted on evening 03:00 PM at RPRS Colony, Campbell Bay.
An announcement will be made about the Mock Drill for awareness of general public through PA system and direction has also been conveyed to all religious heads for announcement at their respective religious places about the conduct of the Mock Drill.
The Mock Drill is being conducted to assess the preparedness of various stakeholders/departments to work jointly on occurrence of natural calamities/disasters.
