Port Blair, Nov 24: Whenever VIPs or VVIPs visit Andaman and Nicobar Islands, it is seen that several patches along the routes of VIP and VVIP movements are covered with green garden nets or white cloths, so that VIPs can’t see anything beyond that.
Shops, Drains, old buildings, land sliding areas everything is covered, to give an impression that Port Blair city is cleanest city in this world.
But the million dollar question is why such coverups? Why can’t the Administration accept that several areas of Port Blair city need urgent attention from the Administration?
General public questions that if the Administration is ashamed to show some of the major patches of Port Blair city to VIPs and VVIPs then why the Administration doesn’t take steps to set things right, instead of cover-ups, which anyway looks horribly bad.
Very true . And improvement in tourist facilities needs attention
Had a bad experience coming back from elephant beach all attention was on G 20
Why people do not care for civic amenities being denied. Just look the bus stop in front of HPO. The entire shelter are captured by hawkers and front side is full of parked vehicles during peak time. People have to risk their lives for boarding buses towards Shadipur, Medical and JNRM. The entire Municipal and all rights activists are silent.
