Port Blair, Nov 15: Mr. Ajoy Bairagi led a team of delegation consisting of Dr.Devdas (Retd Director of Education Dept.), Dr.P.K.Mandal State Gen.Sec. BJKM,ANI, Tusar Bepari District Gen. Sect.and FCI Consultative member (GOI) ANI, Mr. Sujit Mistry, Pradhan Nimbutala, Mr. Venkateshwar Rao, Pradhan Shivapuram, Smti Sunita Jaldee, Zilla Parishad RK.Gram,PradhansKishorinagar, Pashchim Sagar, Pradhan Gandhinagar and met withChief Secretary ANI today and placed all the grievances being faced by the PRIs of N&M Andaman and which are hampering the development of the panchayats of NMA.
As per report, the members of the PRIs raised the issue of pathetic Rural roads of NMA. All the PRIs together aggrieved that the panchayats are facing unspeakable difficulties for non-cooperative attitude of Executive Engineer (PRI), they alleged.
BJKM ,State General Secretary Dr.P.K.Mandal highlighted the grievances of Guest faculties working in different colleges of ANI. Dr.Mandal urged before the CS to look into the matter of enhancement of Honorarium as per Order issued by the UGC vide order No.F.25-1/2018(PS/MISC) dated 28.01.2019.
Mr. Suit Mistry highlighted the issue of Quarry that since long most of the Quarries of NMA region remained suspended and due to its impact, common people are unable to construct their houses.
Women PRIs of Diglipur region said that the Works of MGNAREGA’s estimate is still pending on the table of the concerned authorities in NMA and which is
causing economic hamper to the people who largely depend on livelihood
on MGNREGA.
The Chief Secretary reportedly gave a patient hearing to all the issues raised by Mr. AjoyBairagi, Dr.P.K.Mandal GS, BJKM, ANI and other PRI Members and assured to take the necessary steps in this direction.
