Port Blair, Nov 15:The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to allow all candidates in Combined Recruitment Written Examination for filling various Group ‘C’ posts, even if there are errors in the name, printed on the admit card, by validating the person based on the photograph of the candidate printed on the Admit Card and the ID card.
In a letter addressed to the Lt. Governor the Member of Parliament mentioned that he has been approached by a large number of candidates who have applied for the Combined Recruitment Written Examination for filling various Group ‘C’ posts under the A & N Administration scheduled to be held on 20.11.2022 (Sunday), that there is some spelling errors in their names, printed over the admit card for the written test. For these errors there is no fault from their end.
He added that all these candidates are now deeply worried that due to these spelling errors in the name, printed on the admit card, they might not be allowed for the written test, on the day of exam.
In this regard, he has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor to intervene in this matter and arrange to allow all candidates for this written test even if there are errors in the name, printed on the admit card, by validating the person based on the photograph of the candidate printed over the Admit Card and the ID card.
He pointed out that this exam is a lifetime opportunity for most of the candidates and hence personal intervention of Hon’ble Lt. Governor is necessary to save the future of the candidates, who are facing problems as there is a spelling error in their name printed over Admit Cards.
