Port Blair, Nov 10: A 3-day free distribution of artificial limbs & other prosthetics assessment camp was organised by ‘Chhoti Si Asha’ NGO run by SRG group of companies. The camp was held at Dr. T Y Abid’s Evolve Physiotherapy centre, situated opposite ITF main gate.
The main motive and purpose of the camp was not only to provide the prosthetics and other aids like KFO, HKFO etc, but to take the first step to build this infrastructure of availability of such aids locally.
Through this camp now people who want to have such artificial limbs & other prosthetics assessment can go to Dr. Abid’s centre and get themselves assessed. Measurements and moulds will be made locally in that centre. These measurements and moulds will be sent to mainland Chennai and it will get manufactured and sent to ‘Chhoti Si Asha’ NGO for distribution.
In this issue, whoever will not be able to afford the cost, will be helped by SRG group of companies.
