Port Blair, Nov 06: The meeting of the CPI (M) Andaman & Nicobar State Organizing Committee held at Port Blair on 5th November, 2022 notes with concern and anguish that the investigation into the sex-for-job racket. The meeting noted that the A & N Police has not yet arrested any of the accused persons in the case so far. The meeting noted that some of the accused persons have reportedly left the islands a few days back even though the case was registered at Port Blair on 1st October, 2022 under section 376D, 506, 228A and 120B of the IPC against the above persons.
The Andaman and Nicobar State Organizing Committee meeting of the CPI (M) urged upon the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and the Lt. Governor, A & N Islands to hand over the above case to the CBI for proper investigation in the present case and also to investigate other cases as reported in the media.
