Diglipur, Nov. 03: The mystery case of the boy who was missing from Gandhinagar jungle since 5th Oct 2022 took a new turn, when the local police reportedly found a heap of skeletons on the ground and a rope in knot tied to a branch of a tree hanging in the jungle in Gandhinagar-II area on 1st Nov. 2022>It is yet to be ascertained if the skeletons are of the missing boy.
As per report, the local Police reportedly found a heap of skeletons on the ground and a rope in knot tied to a branch of a tree hanging in the jungle in Gandhinagar-II area on 1st Nov. 2022. The Police then cordoned off the area and called for the assistance of the forensic experts to conduct the tests of the skeletal figure to ascertain if it was the missing boy.
A forensic expert arrived at Diglipur by helicopter in the afternoon yesterday and, escorted by the police, forensic expert went to the spot in the evening for collecting the skeletons and body residues of the dead for conducting the necessary tests. When the team returned with the skeletons and the dead person’s personal belongings found tightly tied with a tree, night descended.
When contacted, the forensic expert only said it is a case of prima facie and it will be too early to say anything and he would be in a position to say anything on it only after the tests; and he also said another expert is to come from Port Blair today to assist him in the case, he further said.
The skeletons were then transported to CHC, Diglipur for post mortem.As per report, forensic expert again visited the site of the incident today. The post mortem as well as the forensic tests reports are awaited.
