Port Blair, Nov 01: The Government observes the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel as the ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ (National Unity Day) on 31st October every year. This occasion is an opportunity to foster and reinforce dedication to preserve and strengthen the unity, integrity and security of our nation.
As decided by the national implementation Committee, this year’s Rashtriya Ekta Divas celebrations, will be a week-long “Ekta Saptah” from 25th – 31st October, 2022 under the aegis of AKAM and the theme of Panch Pran as proposed by the PM on Independence Day. Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, is organizing 75,000 Unity Runs across the country on 31st October 2022.
In this connection, Nehru Yuva Kendra organized a MotorCycle Rally from Kadamtala Market to Kadamtala Bridge. In which 60 participants by 30 motorcycles took part in the motorcycle rally. Dr. Ramesh, Animal Husbandry flagged off the rally in presence of Pradhan Kadamtala, Samiti member Kadamtala, Zilla prisad member Kadamtala and in presence of Deputy Director, NYK Rangat. Before flag of Ristrya Ekta Saptah administered by the chief guest to the all participants.
