Port Blair, Oct 30: Commodore Atul Kumar Rastogi, Deputy Director General NCC, TN, P & AN visited Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidhyalaya, Port Blair (A&N). The Commodore was received by Col Jarnail Singh, Group Commander, Madras ‘A’ & Lt Col Pankaj Modgil, Commanding officer, 1(A&N) INF COY NCC. Wreath laying ceremony was carried out at the memorial of Capt Ashim Bhattacharjee by Commodore Atul Kumar Rastogi & the Principal JNRM College.
During the visit, Commander A K Rastogi delivered a motivational talk and interacted with the cadets of both Army and Navy units. He shared his personal experiences of service & Knowledge on how to go about the preparation of SSB to become an officer in the Armed Forces. During interview with the media he highlighted the aspect of expanding the reach of NCC in Islands and to work closely with the civil administration to provide better opportunities to the cadets and integrate them in the mainland events/activities of NCC.
