Port Blair, Oct 20: The National Cooperative Union of India, Cooperative Education Field Project (Ministry of Cooperation) A & N Island unit has organized a Leadership Development Program for Self Help Group at Umeed Self Help Group, Premises Dolligunj today (20.10.2022). Mr. Dharmendra Narayan, Councilor, Dolligunj Municipal council area was the chief guest on the occasion. The chief guest lauded the efforts of National Cooperative Union of India, Cooperative Education Field Project (Ministry of Cooperation) A & N Island unit for organizing such meaningful program for the ultimate benefit of women folk/members of self help groups at grass root level of the society. Welcoming the gathering Mr. Surendra Nath Singh, Project Officer, National Coop. Union of India, Cooperative Education Field Project A & N Island unit has said that self help group is the best means of economic and social reform. He stressed the needs for developing leadership quality among leaders of self help groups for managing their institution smoothly to greater hight. He was also highlighted on various skill developments training program being undertaken by NCUI for the benefits of rural people. Mr. R.N. Yadav, Senior Branch Manager, A & N State Cooperative Bank, Dolligunj branch in his address briefed about various banking programs especially for self help groups. Mr. Naresh Ram, Cooperative Education Instructor, NCUI Field Project, Port Blair was enlightened on the needs of leadership quality for the smooth functioning of their institution. The program was attended by 30 leaders of different self help groups of the areas.
