Port Blair, Sept 11: A missing complaint of an elderly lady was registeredin Car Nicobar Police Station on 06th September 2022, in which it was mentioned that Mrs. Polina (71 years), w/o Mr. Janatan, r/o Perka Village, had gone for Nicobari Potato cultivation in Malacca Forest on05th September 2022 with her family members but she went missing on the way back home.
Subsequently, the family members and other villagers searched for her but were unsuccessful. Therefore, they lodged a missing complaint the next day in PS Car Nicobar.
Following the complaint, immediately a team was formed by SHO CarNicobar and the team with local villagers of Perka started a massiveSearch Operation inside the forest.
As per details, while conducting a Jungle search, on 09th September 2022 the team found the elderly lady safe inside the forest after which she was taken to BJR Hospital for necessary medical help. As per details after treatment today morning the lady was discharged and came back toher family.
As per sources the old lady showed tremendous courage and survived for four nights inside the jungle by drinking coconut water and taking shelter under trees at night and during heavy rain.
