Port Blair, Sep 07: Ms. V. K. Mariyam Bibi, Zilla Parishad Member, Bambooflat and Hope Town along with Mrs. Rasheeda Bibi, Pradhan, Hopetown, Mr. B. Laxmi Narayan, Samity member, Hopetown and parents of the deceased boys met Deputy Commissioner Mr. Suneel Anchipaka and appraised him about the unfortunate incident which happened on 31st August 2022 at Hopetown village in which two boys of the same family lost their lives as they accidentally drowned into a pond. They requested early compensation from the bereaved family.
