Port Blair, Sep 06: Due to the inclement weather conditions a huge tree fell on the road at Kadakachang area of Ferrargunj Tehsil this morning. The incident blocked the road and the traffic flow was disrupted for several hours, which created difficulties for all the commuters.
As per reports, on information the A&N Fire Services responded and swung into action. The Fire Service team soon started clearing the road. However, because of the massive size of the tree, it took several hours to clear the road for the vehicle to pass.
Later it was learned the Forest Department of the area also supported the A&N Fire Service personnel in clearing the road.
