Port Blair, Sep 02: A theft case was reported from Two ShopsNamely “Roti and Rice” and “China Town”, Food Court opposite the Swimming Pool on Midnight of 31st August 2022.
As per reports, on 31 August, when the shop owner of Roti and Rice reached the shop to start his day at around 06:00 AM, he found that the lock of the shop was already open. Further, it was reported that the thief decamped with Kitchen utensils like a Pressure Cooker, 12 Quarter Plates, Handi Degchi and LPG Cylinder with several other items.
It was found that the lock of a nearby shop namely ‘China Town’ was also broken and all the kitchen utensils were missing. Immediately both the owners reported the matter to the Aberdeen Police Station, after which the police filed a theft case.
When Andaman Sheekha Daily contacted the shop owner of ‘Roti and Rice’, he informed that he recently opened the fast-food stall and this unfortunate theft incident has happened to him.
He further explained the theft incident and informed that several other shop owners also found that the locks of their shops were tampered as well, which shows that a theft attempt was made there as well.
