Port Blair, Aug 28: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,96,379 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,944 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 28, 179 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary doses of vaccine so far stood at 2,30,137.
A total of 3544 eligible beneficiaries were vaccinated in A&N Islands while the beneficiaries administered precautionary doses of vaccine stood at 3117 today. In South Andaman District, 3086 beneficiaries were vaccinated, out of which, 24 beneficiaries were 18 and above and the number of beneficiaries administered precautionary doses of vaccine stood at 2995.
In the North & Middle Andaman District, 414 beneficiaries were vaccinated, out of which, 3 beneficiaries were 18 and above and the number of beneficiaries administered precautionary doses of vaccine stood at 352.
In Nicobar District, 44 beneficiaries were administered a precautionary dose of vaccine.
