Port Blair, Aug 26: The new passenger ship, MV Nalandahad reached Port Blair on 26th July 2022 and according to the officials of DSS, the ship will be inducted on 19th August 2022, sources said.
Earlier, on 22nd July 2022 the ship had sailed for A&N Islands from Cochin with safe mining crews.
Regarding the maiden sailing of MV Nalanda as a passenger vessel, the officer of DSS said that initially the ship will sail for short distances.
“The ship will be operated in the Southern Group of Islands in the future as per the demands and the schedule will be released in advance,” he added.
