Port Blair, Jul 20: Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, BJP A&N Islands along with Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Former Member of Parliament and Mr. Sanjay Singh, State Vice President, BJP called on Mr. Jitendra Narain, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration at his office today and discussed the issues related to Islanders.
The discussion included the issue of the resumption of Airlift services for Patients from Remote Islands which is an essential service for critical patients and pregnant women and was stopped since May 2021. The issue of Revamping the requirement of RTPCR for travel to the Southern Group of Islands to ease the lengthy process for the passengers was also raised.
As per a press release, after hearing the issues from the delegation led by the State President of BJP, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration has reportedly assured to consider both the requests.
Mr. AjoyBairagi has expressed his sincere gratitude to Mr. JitendraNarain, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration for meeting the delegation amidst his busy schedule and considering the request made by the delegation.
