Port Blair, Nov 30: Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament of A & N Islands has requested the Lt Governor to provide Auto- Stand and Jeep- Stand in South Andaman Villages.
In a letter addressed to LG, Mr. Ray stated that the daily commuters from the South Andaman village areas are depending upon the Autos and Private Jeeps for their daily trip to Port Blair town area and vice – versa.
“The passengers and the vehicle drivers find very difficult to halt the vehicle in a safe place in the villages,” he said.
Mr. Ray requested the LG to consider directing the concerned Department to provide Auto Stands/ Jeep Stands in remote villages for the convenience of the general public.
