Port Blair, Jun 22: Two truck accidents were reported at the Mayabunder Police Station today from the forest area of Wireless Tekry, close toPahalgoan Panchayat. As per details pathetic roads conditions caused both the accidents.
As per the information, a truck carrying rice and wheatcargo of SCI, was going towards Rangatfrom Mayabunder, where due to bad road conditions the loaded truck drifted on the muddy and slippery road and finally the truck tilted completely towards one side.
When the police team reached the spot, police jawans tried to recover the truck with the help of a crane. Meanwhile due to a traffic jam another cargo truck of ANIIDCO travelling from Port Blair to Mayabunder overturned in the area when its tyre was stuck into a muddy road as a result the truck also tilted slightly.
As per information, both the truck drivers escaped with minor injuries and no other casualties were reported.
