Diglipur, May 21: The 8th International Yoga Day with the theme “Yoga for Humanity” was observed at all health institutions of Diglipur from 06.00am to 08.00am. The main function was held at Multipurpose Hall, Diglipur by the Community Health Centre, Diglipur in collaboration with NYK Diglipur. Mr. RadheyShyamMeena (DANICS), Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur was the Chief Guest on this great event. The program was started with the lighting of lamps by the dignitaries present in the program. Welcoming the Chief Guest, Dr.Siddaraju, CMO, CHC, Diglipur spoke elaborately on Yoga and laid emphasis on the importance of Yoga in promoting health and preventing diseases. Dr.Shipra Mistry, MO, Ayurveda briefed about the common Yoga protocol released by the Ministry of Ayush. The Chief Guest appealed to the gathering to practise Yoga regularly in their day to day life for both mental and physical wellbeing. Mr. P.R. Singa Ram, Pradhan, GP Subhashgram, Mr. Pradidp Das, ZPM, Mr. Sukhoranjan Biswas DD NYK and the general public attended the session. Similar programs were also conducted in various other Health Institutions of Diglipur. Altogether 700 people practised Yoga at various health institutions.
International Day of Yoga was also aptly celebrated by Mr. Dipankar Mistry, Pramukh, Diglipur in the Community Hall near RadhagovindaMandir, Diglipur early this morning. Children and people irrespective of age actively participated in this Yoga session as well, a source said.
