Port Blair, Jun 21: In a letter addressed to Mrs. SmritiIrani, Union Minister of Women’s & Child Development, Mr. N Peddi Raju, State President, Andaman & Nicobar VidyutShramikSangh (ANVSS) has also put forward various demands such as 1. Filling up vacant posts of Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Superintendent (Juvenile Home), Welfare Officer (Woman), Welfare Officer (Disabilities); 2. Timely release of funds for payment of Honorarium to Anganwadi workers and helpers, which is being delayed very often; 3. Timely payment for monthly rent to building owners, who let out their building for Anganwadi; 4. Provide meals to Anganwadi children; 5. To provide permanent buildings for functioning Anganwadi Centre in South Andaman, and 6. Permanent posting of qualified workers working in AnganwadiCenters by giving age relaxation under various vacant posts.
Mr. N Peddi Raju requested the Union Minister to examine the presented demands and take appropriate actions on it.
