Diglipur, Nov 29: In order to celebrate Navy week Indian Naval Ship Bangaram, one of the Fast Attacking Craft of Indian Navy will open its doors for public & students from 30th Nov & Dec 1st2012. INS BANGARAM Fast Attacking Craft will open for visitor’s at Aerial bay Jetty, Diglipur from 9 am to 3pm for school children and public.
The 46-metre INS Bangaram is an improved variant of the existing high speed vessels. It offers a platform for patrol and rescue operations at sea and has combat capabilities with matching firepower. Built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata, the ship is capable of doing high speeds and will facilitate effective patrolling in the seas.
