Diglipur, June 17: A Special Gram Sabha Meeting under Gram Panchayat Subhashgram was held in Subhashgram Panchayat Bhawan at 10.30 AM today. The agendas transacted in the meeting was to prepare annual plan of zilla parishad& panchayat samiti for the FY year 2022-23 and to prepare supplementary plan of panchayat & MGNEREGA for the FY year 2022-23.
In his welcome speech, Mr. P.R. Sinngaram, Pradhan, GP Subhashgram spoke about different agendas and general issues and emphasized child protection measures. Panchayat Secretary briefed the gathering about A & N Islands (Rural Area) water Supply Bye-Laws 2022 while an emphasis was laid by him on the need of introduction of a Child Protection Unit at Gram Panchayat Level. Briefing on Gram Urja Swaraj, the PS urged the general public to adopt new & renewable energy projects such as Solar, Wind, Bio-gas, Micro-hydel energy projects etc., including locations, grid connected or off-grid etc. the PS aso said that Disaster Management Plan has been prepared.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Madhai Murshid, raised a plethora of issues. He said that there is no facility for thyroid test in CHC, Diglipur for the last 2 years while, owing to unavailability of an operator for Ultrasound Machine, patients have to face severe hardship. The CHC, Diglipur is paralysed with the absence of a Gynaecologist, Mr. Murshid declared. Showing resentment over the problems being faced by the senior citizens, Mr. Murshid urged the concerned depts. to revise the Pension Forms and to extend the pension to the beneficiaries who often face the problems to obtain it.
The necessities of reopening of issuance of sand by the concerned dept. for the construction of residential houses by the dwellers and promoting and aid to the areca nut tree growers/planters by the Agriculture Dept./CARI were felt by the Samiti Member. He also urged the Local Police to conduct a Citizen Committee Meeting to alleviate and redress public grievances. He also felt the need of the Dam to be constructed at Khudirampur and hence he pleaded with the concerned agencies/depts. to reconsider on the project which they had worked on.
Dissatisfied with turbid water supplied during the rainy season by the APWD, Diglipur, Mr. Murshid told the dept. to supply treated potable water to the general public, a source said. The meeting was attended by the staff of line depts. and the residents of the panchayat.
