Port Blair, June 13: Andaman & Nicobar State Organising Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has condemned the attempt to attack the Kerala Chief Minister and Polit Bureau Member of the Party PinarayiVijayan today in an Indigo flight from Kannur to Thiruvananthapuram by Congress (I) workers.
Three Congress workers had tried to physically attack the Kerala Chief Minister in a flight on his way from Kannur to Thiruvananthapuram. It is the first incident in the aviation industry in the country to attack a political leader while in an aircraft.
The Congress-led UDF and BJP have been carrying out a vilification campaign against the Chief Minister of Kerala and the ruling Left & Democratic Front during the last few days and have been trying to obstruct the movement of the Chief Minister inside the State.
The Andaman & Nicobar State Organising Committee of the CPI (M) also condemned the attempt to defame and physically attack the Chief Minister and senior CPI (M) leader PinarayiVijayan.
