Port Blair, Jun 05: The Middle Andaman Area Committee of CPI (M) has conducted corner meetings and mike announcement on 31st May 2022 at different parts of Middle Andaman on various issues concerning the people in general and those living in Middle Andaman.
Addressing the meetings, Mr. Nikunjo Biswas, State Secretariat Member of the Party has criticized the BJP-led central government for the unchecked price rise of petrol, diesel and LPG and said that the Modi government is not at all bothered by the sufferings of the people.
He said that the Middle Andaman continues to remain an under-developed area despite making tall claims by the ruling party and Administration. No industry in the North and Middle Andaman District can provide any kind of job to the local youths.
Addressing the corner meetings, Mr. Rahul Dev Mridha, State Committee Member of the CPI (M) has expressed concern over the increasing unemployment in the islands. He said that the Central government-controlled A&N Administration is not taking any steps to fill the nearly 10,000 posts lying vacant in various departments under the Administration.
Mr. Prakash Sardar, Secretary, Middle Andaman Area Committee of the Party and Mr. SR Mridha, Area Committee Member also addressed these meetings. The meeting evoked good public response and support among the villagers.
