Port Blair, Nov 25: Employment Exchange organized a professional career counseling and vocational guidance program to assist students & young professionals on opportunity awareness, self awareness and soft enhancement, under the guidance of Labor Commissioner held at Subhash gram Panchayat, Diglipur. The theme of the program was ‘Vocational Guidance on Hospitality’ Mr. Madhusudan Baidya highlighted various employment opportunities in Tourism sector. Employment Officer Mr. Santosh Prakash added that about 43,000 unemployed youths are enrolled in Employment exchange, out of this 70% – 80% are between VIII-XII pass, so these youths should take opportunities in the tourism Sector.
Mrs. Vimala Venkateshwaran Vocational Guidance Officer highlighted the importance on Hospitality in tourism sector and its importance in day today life. On this occasion a booklet on Vocational Guidance on Hospitality was distributed to all the participants who were prepared by V.G.O. and C. A of Employment Exchange, Port Blair.
