Port Blair, Apr 13: Mr. V.K Abdul Aziz, President, District Congress Committee has greeted the people of A&N Islands on Mahavir Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavira.
Mr. Aziz described Lord Mahavira as an apostle of truth and righteousness and said that the essence of his teachings is more relevant now when the world is confronted with strife and tension.
He said that the Indian society is greatly influenced by the life and teachings of Lord Mahavira who showed humanity the path of rectitude for attaining ultimate bliss.
