Port Blair, Apr 13: Gram Panchayat Ramnagar initiated a new campaign “Aatma Nirbhar Ramnagar” to promote self-employment for the youngsters of Ramnagar.
The new panchayat body of Ramnagar noticed that due to Covid -19, the economic condition of each household in the village falls drastically and the GPR team planned to promote self-employment in the village by following the aims and objective of “Aatma Nirbhar Bharat”.
Mr. Mitun Das, Pradhan, G P Ramnagar interacted with the Kali Mela committee and said that it is crucial to give the opportunity to the skilled youngsters to come forward for self-employment.
With the help of Mr. Gokul Halder (Businessman), Gram Panchayat Ramnagar identified 07 youths from the village, those are having professional skills in cooking various items and planned to give them an opportunity to earn during Kali Mela and thus launched Hotel Ramnagar under the slogan “Aatma Nirbhar Ramnagar” to promote the local skills and self-employment.
He also added that the Gram Panchayat is on a mission to bring some new changes and various developments with innovative ideas which will present a new Ramnagar for all.
