Port Blair, Mar 25: Mr. Babul Das, the Pradhan of Netaji Nagar Gram Panchayat, Little Andaman has raised three crucial issues of Little Andaman infront of the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, a copy of which was shared with Andaman Sheekha Daily, the Pradhan of Netaji Nagar GP highlighted issues of irregular LPG cylinder supply, lack of sufficient ferry for Little Andaman and closure of quarry.
Regarding the issue of irregular LPG cylinder supply, Mr. Das mentioned that recently after a strike a total of 3964 LPG cylinders were given to Little Andaman but he claimed that still there is a huge demand of LPG Cylinders at Little Andaman.
“If CCS Ltd. is not capable of supplying LPG cylinders on time then the distribution may be given to some other private agency,” he added.
Regarding ferry, he demanded vessels for Hut Bay twice a week and added that the schedule must be released for every 15 days in a month so that the public can plan their trips.
Regarding quarry operation the Pradhan of Netaji Nagar demanded intervention of the Chief Secretary so that the quarry can be reopened and all the developmental works can be started again at the earliest.
