Port Blair, Mar 17: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to put all Disaster Management Machineries and Officials on high alert and declare 19 and 21 March 2022 as holidays for all schools and colleges.
In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Lt. In this regard, he has also requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor to send a sufficient number of officials to all remote Islands so that in case of any kind of eventuality due to the cyclonic storm (if formed) can be managed professionally.
He has also requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of ANI to caution the general public regarding present weather conditions and provide general public hourly updates and information through all print, electronic and social media units.
