Port Blair, Mar 16: Coast Guard Station Mayabunder, under HQ ANC, organized a Community Interaction Programme and Medical Camp for the local Fishermen and public at Mayabunder on 12th March 2022 from 1100 hrs to 1300 hrs.
Dr. Palit, CMO, RP Hospital Mayabunder along with his team of doctors and paramedical staff were present at the medical camp.
As part of the interaction programme, Demonstration on wearing of Life Jackets, Usage of Lifebuoy, Usage and Importance of carrying Distress Alert Transmitter (DAT), Safety precautions to be followed when venturing into the sea, Lecture on Snake Bite, Lecture on LifeStyle Diseases by Dr. Palit, CMO, RP Hospital Mayabunder were organized.
Free health check-up was conducted for the fishermen community at Karamatang, Mayabunder. Over 40 local fishermen participated in the programme.
