Port Blair, Mar 11: A delegation of Unemployed Pharmacists met Mr. Abhay Kumar, National President, Indian Pharmacist Association (IPA) at PortBlair on 11th March 2022.
The major point of discussion was the Offline conducting of exams and early completion of the recruitment process of Pharmacists under DHS which was initiated in 2018. Recruitment of a sufficient number of Pharmacists under ANIIMS. Restoring of engagement of Pharmacists under DHS on leave vacancy as it was done before November 2020. Creation of more posts of Pharmacists after the up gradation of many health facilities under the A&N Administration. Stop renting of Pharmacy Licence and respectable salary for Pharmacists.
Mr. Abhay Kumar assured that all demands are genuine and will be taken up at all appropriate levels by the Association. All the unemployed Pharmacists present took the membership of the Indian Pharmacist Association (IPA).
The gathering was addressed by Mr. Abhay Kumar National President, IPA, who spoke about the latest development in the field of the Pharmacy profession and called upon all Pharmacist to safeguard the Pharmacy Profession by way of celebrating the 75th year of the Pharmacy Act 1948, as there is a challenge to Pharmacy profession from the medical field itself.
Mr. Suresh Charan, Senior Pharmacist also enlighten the gathering about the importance and aspirations of the Pharmacy profession.
Mr. Muthu Kumar, a community Pharmacist expressed his concern about the delay in conducting recruitment exams. He called upon everyone to unite under the umbrella of IPA, for the betterment of the Pharmacy profession.
